Interesting…I see 3 others have used the Format command to format HD's
beyond cylinder 80. I never could get it to work, but then I was using
trackdisk.device…perhaps the limitation is there rather than in Format
itself. Out of curiousity, what is the name of the device driver you have
in the mountlist?
The driver is hddisk.device. I heard that about Format also. I got to the
store today and got the parts I needed to reconfigure the drive as an ST
506, called NEC to check on the DIP switches, and now I'm running on all
cylinders! Still don't know what the problem was with interfacing with the
SCSI. Now I have a spare ST 506 -> SCSI board laying around. It is nice
tho being able to put the drive in the compartment on the 2000. <Glenn
