#Dr. Dobbs' READFLIC
11 messages in this thread
I don't have the full READFLIC program anymore. I cut and pasted and
modified the animation player to work with my code. I could probably upload
that, but it might not be as educational as the original READFLIC code. I think
the code was co-developed by Jim Kent who lives here in the Autodesk forum
somewhere. I'm sure he could dig up the original code for you. If not, I'll zip
up what I've got and try to upload it.

Jesse,
I've got the original download if Jim Kent's READFLIC code
from Dr. Dobbs. Who out there needs it?

Jonas, candidate for "Most Helpful ADESKer Ever on ASOFT" award,
I would very much like a copy of the READFLIC code. THANKS.

John,
<< original Dr. Dobbs flic code…want it >>
O.K. but it's on my machine at work. You'll have to wait til
monday :-(.

Thanks, Jonas, no hurry here. I'm off to Colorado Sunday for a week of work in
Grand Junction, and I won't be able to play 3D until next weekend <big frown>

Jonas, NiK Grant just pointed out (correctly) that the readflic code
was in GO DDJ as FLIC.ARC (and FLIC.ASC). I just got it, but thanks
anyway!
I had thought that the Dr. Dobbs Readflic was available as FLIC.ARC
over in the GO DDJ forum. Check it out.
Thanks, Nik. I got it. It's available as FLIC.ARC and FLIC.ASC. JKJ
John, Arrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I was looking for this over in DDJ
last week, but they don't have "FLIC" or "FLC" or "FLI" in the
keywords. Uggggh!
Maybe the READFLIC file could be uploaded to the libraries here as
well? I've read a lot of requests for it here… I would do it myself except
I've modified the code to the point where it might not be useful to others…
Jesse
Okay okay!
I just talked to Dr. Dobbs (the Journal, not Himself) and have just uploaded
the 2 files to ASOFT What's New as FLIC.ASC and FLIC.ZIP (known over there in
DDJ as FLIC.ARC). Now that I think about it, I should have put the FLIC.ASC
into the FLIC.ZIP file. Oh well.
