I have been asked to write an article dealing with the Amiga and
PostScript. The only PostScript-compatible laser printer that I have access to
is an Apple LaserWriter, so my question is: Has anyone had any experience
whatsoever with the Amiga and LW? If I understand correctly, the only way to
connect ANYthing to the LW is through AppleTalk. Does that mean that I have to
have an AppleTalk-PC type interface, and if so, will the PC interface suffice
or do I need something else? For that matter, does anyone know if this is
possible??? All of my DTP experience is on the Mac so although I know a lot
about DTP in general, I'm virtually in the dark when it comes to the Amiga.
Thanks for any help that you can give…

The Apple LaserWriter can be connected via. the serial port. A company
called Scott Anthony Studios (415) 826-6193 sells IFF and Draw Plus
to postscript conversion programs. There is also a PD PostScript
printer driver for the AMIGA posted on BIX. Hope that helps…
