I was over at a friend's house today to help him set up his Amiga 2000 workbench disk, and I discovered that the Trashcan icon as provided by Commodore was a DRAWER instead of a GARBAGE type, which means that the Empty Trash item will remain ghosted and can't be used to empty the trash can. So, if you have trouble, this is why. I'm going to try and fix the icon without ruining the double-image effect of the trashcan lid opening (iconed only seems to load the first image.) Mike: You can change the type of the Icon very easily by a nice little utility written by Larry. It's in the DL's…..and it's called ITYPE.ARC or ICTYPE.ARC Nevertheless, if you want the original templates for the Trashcan or Drawer Icons I can supply you with the original brush files or you can DL My Icon ARC in DL 16. Those two are included in the ARC. CBM altered the Trashcan a bit but such is life! <grin> GreG

Mine has a ram disk in workbench that does not go away if I trashcan it or if I reset the amiga. Is this normal. As far as the manaual is concerned, its not. Bruno

I don't think you can trashcan a disk or ramdisk. The way to tell if your Trashcan icon is messed up (DRAWER instead of GARBAGE) is to single click on the Trashcan icon, and select the Info item from the Workbench menu. It should show the type as GARBAGE. Mike 70030,160
