AMGIF doesn't handle the overscan? I've done several overscan images to
GIF with no trouble whatsoever. Now, HAMGIF, the *display* program,
doesn't know about overscan resolutions and messes up the aspect ratio
quite badly when displaying a GIF encoded overscan image, but the image has
always encoded correctly to my knowledge… –>Steve Bennett
That's probably for the same reason they look that way under HAMGIF. The
display program looks at the file, says "Hey! The horizontal resolution is
more than 320… Obviously it needs to be displayed in a 640 horizontal
mode", and *poof*, it comes out horizontally squeezed… <grin> A number of
IBM GIF display programs do the same thing with non-overscan 320 x 400
images, because the height is more than 200. –>Steve Bennett
