#Ray Traced Pictures

The packages you saw probably had the turbo silver upgrade sticker on them.
the finished version of 3.0 has yet to hit the streets. It will however
get to the registered users prior to the getting to the dealers shelves. I
am going to upload a set of pictures this week which demonstrate our new
Poly Trace mode. FOr those who think Ray Tracing is too time costly, Poly
Trace is for you!. What the heck, might as well give VideoScape a run for
the money too! <large grin>.
I've stopped at my local computer dealer to check out Turbo Silver, and I
have to admit – after playing with it for about an hour and a half I was
impressed. Though, there is one question I have, which neither me or the
dealer could figure out – is there a way to save your generated cell
(rendered pic) as an IFF picture file? Neither of us had time to read the
entire manual (since I'm a potential buyer-I don't have a manual)… I
would think it would be rather limiting if it didn't, though being as
complex a program as it is, odds are that I skipped over that section while
at the store.
Joe – After the picture is generated do a "show" on the cell. When the
picture is being displayed hit the "s" key and the picture will be saved in
the current stills (.STL) directory with the name "ILBM.n" (n being the
number of the selected cell. THe ILBM picture is a standard IFF file
viewable by any of the show programs, or HAM paint programs.
Version 3.0 will also include a "De-Animator" which will break down a
finished animation into IFF files for those folks who need to put them into
ANIM format, or some other format other than ours.
