Howdy. I was kicking around looking for a 2000. What is the problem with
your? the price for the computer and AGNES seem OK. If there is a problem
with the motherboard how would I fix it?
PS – I am also looking for an accelerator for my A500. Any connections?

Sorry for the late reply Stephen,
I just got back from a business trip to Germany. My 2000
is haveing either Denise or Agnus difficulties. I am
sending off my Agnus to have DKB to have a look see maybe
that will fix the problem. I have a 1 MB Agnus I am going
to try out but haven't had a chance yet.
I always like to be honest with those I sell to so I just
wanted to prewarn anyone buying the 2000 that the Tower
is in pretty good shape but the 2000 cpu "might" be problematic.
I also might be fixed by a $35.00 Denise.

Update on 2000 sale :
* 2000 within BOMAC TOWER (w/extra power supply)
This 2000 has a possible problem with its Denise
or Agnus but the Tower is fine. This system
comes with all manuals, keyboard, and Mouse.
BOMAC manual also included with keyboard extender – $300.00
* 2 x 50 MB Quantums (11 – 17ms?) $75.00 (a piece)
* Zeus 040/33 MHz with (12MB 60NS RAM).
If you read AmigaWorld you know this board blazes.
It is THE board for the 2000, especially if you
do alot of 3D work. $1100.00
The above items are being sold to generate revenue for
our other Amiga projects to include a soon to be
released 3000 product.
I hate to get rid of this work horse but its yours
if you have the cash. All prices do NOT include
shipping, handling, or COD fees.
I will accept bids that have trade items + cash, but
please be serious. No bids of $300 + an Amiga 1000
for the Zeus 🙂 (No Offense intended, I moved up from one to).
If interested please note I am in and out of country a lot

Thank you for your fast reply to my message. I have been over to Germany many
times – I have many relatives over there. What business are you in such that
you travel so much.
Anyway, I have put the A500 to A2000 upgrade on hold for awhile. I am trying
conserve some cash and maybe buy an A1200 at AmigaWorld in April. In the mean
time I am looking for an accelerator for my 500. I've got an IDE hard drive on
the machine and it seems to work OK. An accelerator and an upgrade to 2.xx ROM
should hold me for a while longer. I am still interested in the A2000 upgrade,
though. the extra slots would come in handy!

Hello Stephen,
The BOMAC Tower provides more Bays to mount other devices
such as harddrives, CD-ROMS, etc. Unfortunatly it does
not provide more bus slots. It does however provide an
additional power supply to take a load off the CPU's power.
If you are interested in a 1200 I have a stock 1200 with
a 80MB internal HD, 2MB RAM, AMIGA DOS 3.0, and all DOCS
for $500.00 (about a year old). Let me know 🙂

I am yet again on travel from Monday evening (31 Jan) to
maybe the 10th of Feb or earlier.
Looks like I am going back to Germany again. Hmmm, I
wonder if the Z3 is cheaper there?? 🙂

I will have to catch up with you after your return from Germany. You might
have to educate me a bit also. Just what can the Zeus do for my A500?
PS – I am wondering what kind of monitor the A1200 takes? If I can find
someone to buy my A500 system for a decent price I might just go for the A1200
instead!

A1200s prefer multisync monitors (to display new resolutions) but can use
1084s (to display more colors in the old resolutions).

Thanks for the info. I'll start saving my pennies.
To really take advantage of all the screen modes the A1200 can offer
you need a multisync like the 1960 or 1942 monitors made by
commodore. VGA monitors will work also, except they cannot sync down
to 15khz scan rate so most if not all games are out or other software
that requires this mode.
Those kind of monitors cost big bucks! Even a decent VGA monitor costs $350 or
more. Oh well, I guess that you get what you pay for. Thanks for the info.
The Zeus is a little out of my financial range these days. I am still
interested in the A2000 by itself, though. The price is right for that. I
should have SOME cash to play with later in the month. I'll drop you a line and
