#DEC VT340 terminal.

Larry, there has been a noticable demand for VT240 (but not like for a good wp
package, for instance) and demand for the 340 will increase (its been out about
a year and half), and the sequences are well documented, but the emulation will
not be super easy – it would make some sense to upgrade something like VLT
which is already a good part of the way there, but that doesn't seem to be
happening. And if a developer who does not use the 340 develops the emulation,
it probably won't be worth the price of the disk, as I've seen on more then one
occasion. To give you an idea of what I mean, in one VT100/102 emulator, the
developer still can't understand why I need a print screen key (to do an ansi
text/graphics dump to the printer, which should be a very simple task). And
that's nearly 4 years after the first version of this one emulator was
released.

Demand for a VT340 emulator would be especially great amongst Amiga users
who use DEC VAX systems a lot. For instance, Iowa State has over 200 DEC VT240
and VT340 terminals, and nearly all the programs on the ISU VAX systems require
VT240 or VT340 terminals.
have you looked at HandShake? it HAS the printScreen key, and does VT220
emulation
Larry
I've never found a working printscreen in handshake. Is that something that
happened in the last couple of months?
Ron
there is print Screen in 2.12b.
LARRY
But that's not part of handshake. An emulator of a 102 or later should have
the text+ printscreen working in it.
Ron
Handshake 2.12b IS handshake, and on the menus is PRINT SCREEN…. under the
project menu,. save image…
Is that not what you mean??
