Hope you don't mind me asking, but if Microbotics is shelved, will this affect the CD32 expansion card I keep hearing rumours about which will convert the CD32 into a computer ?

No, that is more dependent upon seeing that there is enough of a market for the device in order to justify the tooling and so forth. –Redmond
