Mike! Long time no see. It must be Daja vue. I just ordered the update
to two of my Manx compilers! Say when are you guys going to do a spifty
update to the ST compiler. Oh and this is pretty lame but do you do a iBM
PC version still? Last question… (sorry) but do you have a discount for
companies buying several copies of the same compiler? (Say yes!)
I'm sorry to report John that we're not planning any updates to our ST
compiler (I'm sure most people here aren't sorry 'bout that tho 😎 But we
still have our PC compiler, and are planning an update to come out within
the next month to two months. The biggies for that will be that'll be full
ANSI (libraries and compiler), and will have extremely good embedded
systems support.
I'm pretty sure you can cut a deal if you're buying several compilers…you
should probably call our sales dept. and ask them, though – the #'s
(800)221-0440.

Humm. Some of us <ducking> do still want support for the ST. They have a
new machine STe followed closely by the TT which should be very
interesting. Before the Amiga vrs Atari battle starts (again) let me state
that I like both machines and don't care a hoot for any comparison wars.
<grin> Heck its those bozos who own PDPs who have lousy machines….

The ST compiler was pulled purely for marketing reasons. We sold very few
of the ST compilers, and had almost 0 requests for new versions. Overall,
with development costs weighed in, we lost money on the ST product.

Humm thats too bad. I have been telling people to buy it since it is the
only one (almost anyway) that supports the 68881 as in my ISAC and Moniterm
Boards. Possably the problem is the area you market too? US & Canada are
not so great. Europe might be worth some marketing effort?
The majority we sold were in Europe – I don't think the current Atari
market in the U.S. would even be statistically significant right now
<ducking>.

Uuulp I also want to say to everyone who upgrades from 3.6 to 5.0 as I did.
Save yourself some trouble and install it in a new directory fresh. I
stupidly got all the old files mixed up with the new ones and made an ASS
of myself complaining about the example files not working correctly. Mike,
Sorry! It was a short between the headphones…..
That's a good idea when installing a major update of a product – keep the
old one around 'till you're comfortable with the new, and never ever mix
the two together.

I agree! Sorry about the mistake. P.S. is there a new Macintosh Manual?
I've still got the folder type with about a zillion update sheets. Which
by the way suprised me. On my latest Mac update no sheets?!
The current Mac manual is perfect bound, like the Amiga manual is – what
version do you have? BTW, our 5.0 version for the Mac will also have a new
manual.

Humm… I just updated this week. It "was" supposed to have a new manual
of some type. But I also updated to Amiga 5.0 so maybe it slipped thru the
cracks. How do I get my new one??
It'd be strange that you got the disks but not the manual. Hmmm…well,
call our sales dept. at (800)221-0440 and tell 'em your story.
