I know I've asked this question before, but I'm getting a bit confused from
talking to Amiga store owners and to those "in the know".
What do I need to upgrade my A1000 to make it compatable with all the
softwares and stuff that goes with the A3000?
I've been told that the "Reujuvenator" board is the first step.
What exactly will/does the Reujuvenator do?
Does it have the new "Angus" and other chips?
Does this have the faster processor?
Next step is supposed to be the "Tool Box" (or something like that)
which has slots for using the A-2000 expansion cards.
How many slots does it have?
Are there any cards which won't work with it?
I'm using the "Starboard II" memory expansion box. Will
this become useless once I hook up the Tool Box?

The Reujevenator is an add-on internal board designed by Greg Tibbs
that allows the new enhanced chip set (ECS) to be used with the A1000 and
it also gives it the ability to add a Flicker Fixer (from MicroWay) to the
A1000 also. Yes, it has the new chips, no…it has no new processor.
No idea on the number of slots in the ToolBox. Yes, there are
cards that won't work with it. Yes, the A1000 is good for ONE expansion
device. While both your Starboard and Tool Box *might* work together,
don't bet on it.

I have a A1000 and my plan is to get a Rejuvenator (which I will have next
week) and upgrade to the 2 meg Agnus with 2 meg of chip ram. Then get the
flikerFixer, and then CSA's Mega Midget Racer accelerator and add some 32
bit ram. With those add-ons, my A1000 will work somewhat like a A3000 minus
things like the expansion slots and the 32 bit bus design. I figure doing
it this way, will still be cheaper than a A3000 would run.
