I recently purchased an Amiga 3000 computer with the new operating system.
I am new to Amiga, having been previously a devote IBM clone fan. I was
disappointed to find that the new Walt Disney Animation Studio software
package does not work on the new operating system that comes with the 3000
machine. It does work with the old system. Anybody else have similiar
disappointments with this machine?
I hadn't heard that DAS didn't run with 2.0 on the 3000. If _I_ owned it,
that would certainly be cause for a phonecall to the company. DAS is a
VERY new program and the authors _should_ have known all about the
'gotchas'.

Don't blame 2.0, blame the software. The Disney Animation Studio(?) is a
very new program, and 2.0 has been released to the general public for 4
months now, and has been in beta for at least 4 months prior to it's
release. They should have programmed with 2.0 in mind, since all Amigas
will eventually run 2.0.

In answer to your question; yes. Word Perfect's "Calendar" program also
does not work with the new operating system (2.0) found on the A3000. I
use it a lot. My A3000 (a developer's version) allows me to boot up into
OS v1.3, which allows me to run those programs that fail on 2.0.
2.0 is a major improvement from 1.3. I'm sure you don't care whose fault
it is; you just want the program to work. However, incompatibilities arise
on every computer that goes through an operating system change.
