Replacment for ED

I am looking for a replacement for ED, the editor that comes with AmigaDos.
I will probably just use it to edit script files. I would like it to have
some minimal mouse use and be small. Being as there are so many out there
I thought I would ask if anyone knew of such a beast.

you will find a ton of them in Library 7 of this forum. Also, ED in 2.0
will respond to the mouse. Nice, right? And about time?

The editor MEmacs (which you'll find on your Extras diskette in the Tools
drawer) is 62940 bytes and offers mouse support. TxEd Plus is 23396 bytes
and offers mouse support, ARexx support, file requesters, and on-line
support from Microsmiths in AmigaVendor, and throws in BlitzDisk2, a disk
cache program that works with both hard drives and floppy drives.

Brian: Get a copy of QED. It's PD or shareware or something like that and
has pretty complete mouse control. It is especially nice for editing
scripts since, unlike most editors, it does not strip all the protection
bits (like +s) from the files it edits.
