Um, it hardly sounds like GO-AMIGO is ripping you off. It sounds more like a combination of mis-communication, mis-information, and general problems with SAS taking the compiler away from Lattice. True, the GO-AMIGO people shouldn't have told you you were getting 5.1 if they knew that you wouldn't be getting that. But if there's not a big difference package wise between 5.05 and 5.1, then there's alot of room for error there. In any case, you have in essence bought 5.05 within a month of the 5.1 release date (after it, actually). Almost all companies have a policy about this sort of thing: if you buy X product within Y days of a new release, you get the new release for nothing or next to nothing. And you shouldn't have to go to your dealer about upgrade stuff – this is pretty clearly in the SAS's ballpark. One last thing – I think stopping the credit card payment and keeping the 5.05 package is clearly a Bad Thing. You have received a very usable product, and you should not keep such a thing without paying something for it. Just my .02 dollars. -Mike

Mike, Well said! I too have a lesser version of Lattice C, 5.00, in fact and Lattice has been more than helpful in upgrades. I have not been informed about the upgrade to 5.1, I'm sure there will be some cash involved, but cheating the company will get you NOTHING but SUED. <<<BP>>>
