MIDI and music

I don't at this time have a MIDI board. I'm still learning to read and
write music. I'm new to all this, and don't understand your sign-off.."Sir,
I exist… etc. ???
By what means would you like to enter melodies into your computer?
"Hotlicks" remaps your regular computer keyboard to a piano keyboard and
functions as a tape-recorder. Sonix lets you set up a rhythm track in some
of the Amiga voices and play the Amiga keyboard with the other Amiga
voices, but will not capture what you play this way. Sonix and Deluxe
Music Construction Set allow you to use the mouse to enter notes onto a
staff. Bars and Pipes can accept a composition written with a _program_
(using its ARexx capabilities) which is terrific for Steve Reich pulsing or
Philip Glass arpeggios. (I wonder if Glass' "Music in Contrary Motion" is
published anywhere?)
THol() { cout << "Sir, I exist." ;}
Thomas,
Thanx for the information. I'll have to get back to you when I have a
better idea myself of what I am going to do.
