Hey ALL, Frustration!! Just when I think I'm getting CLOSE to getting close to getting the hang of 3ds3 (never used the product before) I gather up my courage and attempt to render to tape. My new GVRS-950 starts clicking away and I return 20 mins. later to find – nothing! The deck is receiving commands from 3ds but fails to record. What gives? The tape shuttles, the EDIT light flashes once but the RECORD light doesn't. The deck does just fine outside of 3ds. I've rechecked all connections and, yes the record tab is still in place. Any suggestions? Thanks, HH

Harley- If you could tell me a little more about your setup, I'll try and help. Are you using a framebuffer or scan converter, rendering direct to tape or Disk-To-VTR, etc. Do you have the file Sansetup.txt in your \3DS3 dir? It should read EDTP5;THRD0;INIT;STAT;VERS;FRAM:. If you're using a scan converter or VGA-NTSC card, and are rendering directly to tape, be sure to hit the space bar once you begin rendering, or no image will be displayed to lay down. -Mark

I am not sure what type of errors to suspect but sometimes if you did not put time codes on your tape you will get no results. Since I don't have any experience on your deck I'm not sure if this is your problem. S
