Attention anyone using Gold Disk's ProScan: Does anyone out there know of a software program that can handle fullpage, 300 dpi images scanned with ProScan for basic editing (cut & paste and basic painting)?? DPaint III is OK for small scans, but even it distorts the scanned image once it is re-saved. Any ideas? I should note too that I am using ProPage as well… Thanks. J.R.

JR, I just checked my Deluxe Photolab manual and it said the picture size in it's all-mode Paint program is only limited by available RAM (it uses FAST RAM for picture data and swaps it as you scroll). I verified that by loading it on my 3meg machine and specifying a 1200×2000 page size at 2 bitplanes and it did in fact create it, as I painted and scrolled around. EA gave me Deluxe PhotoLab free when I purchased DeluxeVideo-III; It should have been reversed. I should have been intent on purhcasing Deluxe Photolab and they give me Dvideo for free 🙂

Christopher, Great! That sounds like the ticket. I only wonder if it saves files in an elongated fashion like DPaint III tends to do on smaller clips. I have heard of Deluxe Photolab but never used it. Does it do the cut and paste functions as well? Muchos gracious, J.R.

DeluxePhotoLab is GREAT! I have it, DPIII and Digi-Paint3, and use all three, all the time. Throw in The Art Director, and there's not much you can't do. ?|^] Ray Lewis

Great. Looks like Deluxe PhotoLab is the one! Thanks! J.R.
