Hi Ho: So Hot News and Rumers huh? Probablly the most exciting thing to happen to the amiga ever and people have just stoped talking aboutabout it. Amiga World Said that the Video Toaster is suposed to ship the middle of this mounth (SEPT.) I haven' seen any one even hint about it. Could it be that people have waited so long that they have lost interest. I don't think so… But, seriously folks, Dose any one konw any thing more about this products readyness??? Oh yea by the way why is it that over in VENDOR there is no sign of the NewTech board. I know it's there because when I upload a message I am asked where to put it and the Newtech board is an opption. Thanks Brad Hayes

Brad, Your guess is as good as anyone's guess as to when the Toaster will finally be available. Don

Brad, The NewTek representative checks that board regularly. It is possible that he might be out of town for a few days or some such, but her is very regular in checking the messages there most of the time. Betty

Hi Betty I left a message last night, and had a response this evening. I was just curious why the board it's self never seems to be avialible from the message section??? Thanx Brad Hayes

I, for one, am glad the "Toaster Talk" has died down. The thing has been talked about for YEARS and it is STILL vaporware! Talk of AmigaDOS 2.0 compatibility has been squelched until it has been officially released and I feel that, until the produce is actually purchaceable, there is little use in speculation on the Toaster. I do feel the product will be released but we've been put off so many times before with this product that I have serious doubts we will see it in September, the umpteenth release date.

Brad, I think you hit it on the nose: The Video Toaster is not a new product. It is a 2.5+ year old product that appears to be closing in on release. Of course, NewTek still hasn't released the Penn and Teller videotape yet… The product has been more than discussed and at this point there is nothing to be said until it is released. — Ethan

Brad- I think in semi-professional and professional markets, the Toaster will be an important product for the Amiga…but at $1600, don't look for the average dealer to be selling them hand over fist to the average user. Tim

Yea, I must agree with you there. Then again I consideded my self an average AMIGA user (who worked in television) until I acedentally on purpuse let my director see somthing I was working on. Now I am swamp a week asking if I have the toaster yet. Brad Hayes

that last line should read somthing like " Now I am swapmed with work, and I get a phone call about once a week asking if I have the toaster yet." Just an illiterat Fool. Brad Hayes
