I just purchased Amax and it DOES do sound (as long as the software your using doesn't go to the hardware to get it's sound), does support hard drives, and it does support Apple Talk. The new Amax Plus that is not released yet will support midi.

Well, I bought my Amax a year ago, and it did not do any of those things at that time. Glad to hear it does now. ?|^] Ray Lewis
