So…tell me….are you putting digitized samples, such as voice into your animations in the Disney Animation Studio and, if so, what software/hardware package are you using. How can I take digitized voice sounds and have them accompany the animation. I called the Disney Support line today and got a complete blank. Is anyone out there putting sampled sounds to this software? Somebody help please. It would seem that this was the aim of the Exposure Sheet in this package. Am I wrong? Somebody name some software/hardware names….

Here's the poop: Disney Will play back IFF sounds but the suffix on the filename must be .instr. This also doesn't guarantee that it will work: They're using Sonix's sound drivers I think and they might object to some IFF 8SVX chunks that they don't recognize. I'm using my own software (HEAR) with the perfect sound(old) digitizer. The purpose of the exposuresheet is also to time animation sequences: some actions need fewer frames to be "read" in a certain time than others. Sometimes you want to hold a pose or do a cycle. Also, as a language, it's got lots of room for expansion, which I hope they'll do. You can also use it to make notes for yourself on certain frames. Too bad They didn't know enough about sound to make the sound player more useful, but I have an animation with both a score and effects that works pretty well. see you lator animator: jhhl
