#TS/Imagine User Group

I wouldn't expect there to be many real-time CO's, either. Once a month
would be fine with me, at maybe 1-2 hours? Maybe structure them so the
first hour is serious information time (maybe with pre-posted questions?)
and the second hour (or 1/2 hour, etc) is question and answer?
Questions that need further elaboration, and demo obects/techniques that
are dicussed during a CO could be uploaded soon after the CO? This all
assumes that many are willing to serve as an 'expert' from time to time to
discuss various issues, do some homework to get answers, and put them in
some form of presentation form?
What does everyone else think?

Since there seems to be a lot of interest in Silver/Imagine, perhaps we
can get the sysops to dedicate a forum & library in Arts specifically for
that. They have one for ray-tracing and one for animations, but perhaps a
program-specific one would be appropriate for what you (plural) would like
to do. It can also be specifically ignored by those that aren't interested.
This would allow the 'experts' to research & answer questions at their
convenience, and allow someone who can't make the COs to see all the
questions and answers anytine he wants (but then, everyone knows how forums
work so why don't I just shut up now … 8^) ).
The above opinions are my own and not necessarily those of any other
entity, intelligent or otherwise, in the known universe …

While I think it would be to Impule's advantage to "host" such a group
(i.e. whenever someone in any other AmigaForum asked a question re Silver
or Imagine, the sysop would say "Hey, quick as a bunny go over to the
Impulse section of AmigaVendor — they have a whole users' group going over
there!").
However, if AmigaArts was the right place, within the Ray-Tracing section,
we could ask the sysops and user group members to ALWAYS include the words
Silver or Imagine in their title lines. That way, folks would always know
a thread was specific to one, or both of those pieces of software!
