Looking to move from unix based workstations to pc's and autocad. Need to know if autoEDMS can replicate existing database built into sub-model hierarchy and what restrictions exist. Previously built into Calma's tdi (text data items) carried with each sub-model.

Tom, <<need to know if autoEDMS can replicate existing database built into sub-model hierarchy and what restrictions exist. Previously built into Calma's tdi (text data items) carried with each sub-model.>> Sounds like an AutoCAD question. This forum, "ASOFT" is for multimedia products, "GO ACAD" will get you to the Autodesk AutoCAD forum :-). jonas[adesk]

Tom – like Jonas said, that's a question for the ACAD Forum (Section 8 "Applications". I don't know of anybody over there who uses AutoEDMS, so you might try contacting ACS Telecom directly at 213-325-3055. Ask for Dale Hays. Dave

Tom – oops–that was a prehistoric area code. ACS Telecomm's number is 310-325-3055. Dave

Tom, I've done extensive work customizing AutoEDMS and this seems unlikely. However Dale Hays or James Naylor at ACS Telecom could give you the final word.
