Just thought I'd mention that the articles I've written for Amazing
Computing have finally been published! In fact, I seem to have made the
cover of the October issue (shock!). The articles are reviews of the
various Amiga CAD programs, and have been an ongoing project of mine for
over a year. Buy extra copies, give 'em to your kids, use them to line
your bird cage, whatever. Jerry Pournelle, eat your heart out!

What did you submit? Fair warning, Amazing can have looong lead times…

iwas already published in rainbow magazine several years ago
i simply forgot. i was published for contributing
orchestra 90 music files for the trs color computer
Long lead times? I thought their lead times were about 1 or 2 months? The
lead times for your article might have been long because they dedicated a
lot of space to one theme (your articles…which were good, by the way).
And just think…you almost beat record for the most number of articles by
one author in one issue of Amazing. They record still stands though. 🙂

Welll….I think I still hold "The Most Articles in One Issue of Amazing
Computing By Someone Else Besides John Foust" record. 🙂 🙂
I think that Amazing had originally planned to have several authors
contribute to the CAD theme, but for some reason they couldn't work it out.
When I was approached to do the non X-CAd reviews, I had about a week to
work on them, and I had about six weeks for the X-CAD stuff.
By the way, who holds the record for the number of articles??

Well, I came >this< close to doing it, but John Foust beat me one issue
before that by one or two articles. John's record stands at six or seven
articles, my record is five. John's record was made in Vol 1. Number 5
(June 1986). My articles appeared in Vol. 1 Number 6.

Hmm, I may still have one of those, as Amazing was the first Amiga magazine
really worth having in the early days….
