I can't speak for Stacker or SuperStor, but I've had no problems with 3D Studio under DoubleSpace once I remembered to keep a non-Doubled partition for the swap files. Works fine, and the extra space comes in real handy! Note: when rendering to Targas, even compressed ones, DoubleSpace will help. When rendering to compressed TIFFs, however, and especially GIFs, you won't see much if any further compression with DoubleSpace (I believe both GIF and 3DS's version of compressed TIFF use LZW compression, which appears to be the same algorithm used by DoubleSpace itself — it's also the one used by PKZip prior to version 2). But .PRJ, .3DS, .MLI, .SHP, .LFT, etc. files compress QUITE nicely! 🙂
