Jerry, sorry to confuse you. I just want to post the message regarding the
Truevision DVR in the hardware/drivers/… section, but my tapcis sections
file is older than the new forum structure update. I just fixed it. Anyway,
the TV DVR is not an VR device or program, neither a video editing
software. It's a new video technology that have been developed by
Truevision, makers of the Targa and ATVista boards, presented in last
Siggraph and that will be the engine for a new wave of high-tech boards
from this Indianapolis based graphic boards manufacturer. A new technology
that, I think, will break anything out there. Just take a look at the
Truevision section library at the Multimedia Vendors (GO MULTIVEN) and
search for DVR. The text version of the file is just 8K (there is a
PostScript file for those who have PostScript printers -not the case of our
new LaserJet 4 🙁

Thanks. I dl'd the Truevision file and figured it out. Desktop video is
another of my interests, so 'tis not a problem.

Have you heard of Ghostscript? It is a free software postcript
interpreter. It is distributed by the Free Software Foundation (an adjunct
of GNU). I used it to print the DVR postscript file on my HP LaserJet IIP.
Ghostscript can use .PFB postcript fonts, such as those that come with ATM
and CorelDraw.
I do not know if this program is on CIS. I downloaded it from the
Internet. It is rather huge. The whole packge, minus the fonts, is about
1.8 meg uncompressed, but worth the download time if you have to deal with
Postscript files and have a non-postscript printer.

Thanks for the tip, Baley. However, I'm thinking of getting the postscript SIMM
from HP and some more cheap megabytes. I have take note of it for future
references. Thanks again!
