The A1000 is practically valueless, but $50 is a reasonable cost. I believe
the 1080 is a popular monitor among videoheads, and you might actually get some
money for that; maybe $100-150?

I recently paid $125 for an A1000 + 1080 monitor together. Kept the monitor,
gave the A1000 to my mom who uses it with a 1702 Commodore 64 NTSC monitor.
I would guess $200 for the package. Stock 1000s aren't worth a whole lot
most likely around $60.

I see from your "signature" that you are using Autopilot on an A1000. I've
got the latter but was told that Autopilot requires version 2.xx of the OS. Is
that true ?e.g. are you running 2.xx ROMs on your A1000 ? How have you managed
that ? (Or is my info about Autopilot wrong ? If I can run Autopilot on my
A1000 under 1.3 could you let me know and tell me where to obtain the beast.

there is a product on the market called "The Rejuvenator" that among
other options, allows you to run the 2.0 operating system.

Yes, AutoPilot needs 2.0. I have a Rejuvenator which has a Kickstart ROM
socket, I run 2.04/2.1 on my A1000. DKB makes the Kwikstart II which
installs 2 ROM sockets in the 1000.

Chris, I'll take the Atari Trackball! I use one and I'd like another. I just
got a Wico trackball and need info on how to convert it forAmiga. Thanks. I
have all the other 'original' A1000 stuff (including the Amiga-logo 1080
monitor I'm using now) not to mention an original Amiga joystick (Amiga label
before the Amiga computer). Also have an ancient Commodore LED 4-banger
integer-only calculator. Fun stuff.
Hey, I'm interested. I'm in the Hamptons area of Long Island. I'll offer ya
$150 for the 1000 and 1080. (I'm really not interested in the 1000, but my kid
sister needs a computer.) Call me at 516-723-3432. Watch the time, though; 3
PM-10 PM voice, 10 PM-8AM data (Callahan's Place BBS Running a BBS on one line
is _not_ easy.) But I'm willing to dicker- I could go a little higher if the
1080 is on _real_ good shape. -Aaron
