#Upgrading Opus?
8 messages in this thread
Hi Richard, I believe there is a nominal fee involved (either $5 or $15, I
really can't remember). As always, call the toll free number and find out!
Jon
Jon,
Are you getting my messages? I left you the same message twice asking
questions about DirOPus. The messages are still here and show that you've
received them. Would you please answer them?

Sorry Dom, can you either post the messages again or give me their numbers?
Thanks, Jon
Jon,
Hi. The two questions concerning DirOpus were:
1) I mentioned that I don't get the SKIP ALL option when using the
Search feature. You said the option was there. Could you walk me through
the exact procedure I must use to get the SKIP ALL option, since it's not
appearing for me? Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
2) I mentioned that the bottom border of the ConfigOpus window was off
the bottom of my screen. I don't want to change my Overscan settings. I
asked if it was possible to move the window up by the drag bar and then
save it so that it appears in that position every time. I've moved it up
manually and saved the .CFG file, but that doesn't work.
A suggestion for the next release is to put the new SAVE gadget in the
ConfigOpus window over to the right side, and then move the bottom border
up to where it was in prior versions.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Dom. Firstly, to get the Skip All button to appear is pretty straight
forward. Select a bunch of files to search, enter what you want to search for,
and when the first match is made a requester will appear, giving you the
option, among others, to Skip All.
Secondly, no you are right, the position of the ConfigOpus window is now saved
if it is on its own screen (if it is on the Workbench screen it is saved). I
will look at fixing this for the next version.
As far as moving the Save button goes, that would be fine, but there are lots
of other configuration screens that require the full size of the window
(Buttons, Menus, Filetypes to name 3).

That's exactly what I did. However, the requester only gives me three
options: Okay, Skip, and Abort. I do NOT get a Skip All option. I have
v4.11. How could it be that Skip All doesn't appear for me? Also, what do
I have to do now, to get Skip All to appear for me? I mean, you say it's
supposed to be there and it's not.

I'm not sure what you're saying. It appears you're saying that the
ConfigOpus window will be saved whether it's on its own screen or on the
WB screen, but then why make a distinction? Maybe you meant to say "not
saved," instead of "now saved." Anyway, I tried saving it with ConfigOpus
on its own screen, on a Clone WB screen, and on a Use WB screen, and in
ALL instances, the window position was NOT saved.
Also, in the "Enter Search String Requester," for one of the options
you have, "RecogniSe ? as a Wildcard." However, in America, the word is
spelled "RecogniZe" with a "Z," instead of an "S." So you might want to
change it for the American version of the program.
Thanks for the answers. Please let me know what to do about the Skip
All option. Thanks.

Hi Dom. I really don't know why the Skip All button isn't appearing for you. I
put it in in January, and we were still on 4.10 then. Beats me 🙂 Is it a real
loss anyway? 🙂
Yes I did mean to say "not saved". The position of the ConfigOpus window will
only be saved if it has opened on the Workbench screen.
Hmm well I'm not going to get into an argument over American vs English
spellings; I saw how long the argument over date format dragged out 🙂
Jon
Jon,
SKIP ALL isn't a real loss, BUT if the feature is in the program, then
there's something amiss since it's not in my version. I'll call
INOVAtronics tech support.
Also, the position of the ConfigOpus window is NOT saved for me, even
when I open it on a WorkBench screen.
I wasn't trying to get into an argument over American vs. English
spellings. 😎 I pointed it out simply because I thought it was a mistake
that you'd want to fix in the next version. The entire rest of the program
does use American spelling, so I thought the one word I mentioned was an
oversight. For instance, in the Screen Menu for ConfigOpus, you have an
entry for "Colors" and not "Colours." If you chose to use English spelling
for the entire program, that's one thing. But instead you used American
spelling, except for that one word, so I thought I'd point it out.
It's a great program by the way.
