I removed some RAM as you reco'd and now have an image on the Compaq SVGA monitor – a blue EGS logo. When I try to access the EGS programs (i.e. Display Adjust or others) nothing shows up on either monitor in my current 2-monitor setup. The same was true when I tried the single monitor config – the EGS logo just sits there, and no EGS programs will come up on Workbench. Maybe I'm just dumb, but I sure seem to have a lot more trouble installing GVP stuff than the person that writes the documentation! System is an A2000 HD w GVP 030 40Meg and AMAX IV on board. Help!

The blue screen indicates that the board is now active and ready for use, so lowering your AUTOCONFIG RAM worked! Try double-clicking on the EGS-SCREENMODERESET icon and then starting the EGS-DISPLAYADJUST program. Also, try running preferences SCREENMODE program and see if the LEGS resolutions are available. You should see some LEGS resolutions and be able to place Workbench on an EGS screen. With some systems, the default screen is not configured properly, which was the reason for providing the SCREENMODERESET icon. If Workbench works but EGS specific programs do not, then copy down the EXACT wording of the resolution you used with Workbench and alter the SCREENMODE tooltype in the EGS-SCREENMODERESET icon to that specific resolution. It must have the same CASE SENSITIVITY and INCLUDE SPACES.
