Take a deep breath and relax before you give all of us a stroke. <G> 1. The ROM's that you require may be purchased from Shreve Systems in Shreveport LA. Ask for the white stripe 256k HD MAC ROMS. Tell them that you need them for an Emplant board. Yes, believe it or not they know what an Emplant board is. They are one of thre country's largest MAC parts dealers and Jim Drew and Co have provided them with a lot of business. Their number is 800 227-3971. 2. No offense to Gary, but unless you are going to be doing some major very serious work with (and I mean SERIOUS) a program such as PhtoShop on the MAC side, 8 megs should do you just fine. If you were running AGA on a 4000, then you might need a few more horses. 3. As to the issue of drives/compatibility, I don't understand your confusion. but, if you really want to simplify things for yourself, pick up a program called "MaxDos" by media4 productions. It allows you to access Mac files on Mac floppy disks through Amiga floppy drives. Obviously, if the MAC disk is High Density then you will have to have a High Density drive to read it. 4. Now I am probably shooting myself in the foot with this comment; especially in the light of the fact that you E-Mailed an inquiry to me concerning a post that I made in the AmigaUser Forum about an A3000 for sale. But fair is fair. I have seen an Emplant board work quite well in aa A2000 with the same GVP accelerator which you have. Jim knows his stuff, and if says that you will have a problem, you probably will. But, I would check with GVP first, before purchasing the A3000. 5. Cost is a relative term when it comes to emulation boards. Take an IBM bridgeboard set up, by the time you add in the cost of an SVGA card and a sound card and the extra RAM necesary to run Windows your talking a lot more money than whta the Emplant set up is. Then, if you throw in the fact that you can have that same IBM set up for $99 more with the Emplant 486 emulation and there really is no contest.
