I am launching Animator Pro from Windows (WFWG 3.11) and besides some degradation in speed it is working ok except for one problem: When switching from Animator (which is running in full screen mode and exclusive with memory reserved etc. – I created PIF file to launch it) and Windows (ALT-TAB or CTRL-ESC) and back, I get the current Animator screen (regardless of resolution) completely mixed up, even if there was a blank screen before switching, The only way to recover is to use reset or clear, but then the current cel is gone (if not previously saved). To overcome this problem temporarily I duplicate current cel before I switched to Windows so when I come back to Animator I simply do 'CLEAR and remove current cel so I don't loose it. Also CLIP and then PASTE from swap menu could be used, but this is still a temp solution. I would appreciate if someone would help me solve this problem (I hope it can be done!) Thanks, Mark

Mark, It all really depends on your video card. Some cards can switch fine b/t windows and dos apps like AAPRO or 3DS, others don't. I have used cards that utilize the TSENG 4000 chipset and have had the same problems as you. Try different resolutions and different drivers if possible. Jeremy

Jeremy, Thanks for your response. I already tried all available resolutions (in Windows and AniPro.) I tested SVGA adapter based on TSENG chipset and Cirrus Logic 524x. (both VESA) – none of them work properly on any resolution, I still get 'garbage' after ALT_TAB switching. 3D Studio (R3), however, works OK, no problems, I can switch back and forth! So, I was thinking that maybe there is some 'walk-around' in Ani Pro. Anyway, I keep searching. If I find any solution, I will let you know. Thanks again for your response. Mark.

Hi Mark, I found that ALT_TABbing from AAPro or 3DS can be kinda risky. Definitely save all your work if you need to ALT_TAB out. My office system has no problem flipping from 3DS, but AAPro trashes on me. My home machine trashes for both programs. However, for 3DS trashing I've found that I can hit the [F5] to toggle the Material Editor or [F10] to the Dos Shell and my video gets reset. I immediately flip back to where I was working and the screens are corrected. For AAPro, I can still move my cursor to the pulldown menus and see the selections. My work-around is to go to the Files pulldown and select New. I then hit the middle button, Screen Size, and my screen blanks displaying the screen sizing sliders. Hit the Cancel button. My Ani is reset. Try this out and see if it works for you. Background: Office machine: AST 486/33 with Video 7 Vram II Home machine: Dell 486/50 with ATI Wonder XL+ I hope this helps, Bob P.
