Hi Bob, I live in Bloomington, Indiana, which is about 60 kilometers (I think I did the conversion right;-) ) Southeast of the state capitol of Indianapolis. What part of FLA are you going to visit? My parents live in Orlando, and I'll be there about a month before you sounds like. I was going to get a second internal hard drive as my first one started getting full. When I got ready to order, I found none of the suppliers had anything smaller than about 250 megs. The more I thought about the diferences between a regular hard disk, and the Syquest, the more the Syquest appealed to me. I've been nothing but pleased with it ever since. I've recently started thinking about getting an external drive that I could plug into a SCSI adaptor on the 1200, and also an ibm clone notebook I have. But thats in the future ( on the other hand, I just backed up the notebook's hd and it took 31 hd floppies and over an hour of disk shuffling;-( ) Rob Rob Hays

Hello Rob: OK about your location in Bloomington Indiana. My wife and I will be be flying into Orlando where we shall rent a car and travel on to visit friends in Oviedo and Sarasota. We shall be there 7-8 days some time between 20 and 30 Nov. most probably. OK about the Syquest. I agree with you it is a good option although I think that I would buy the ext. unit so that if/when I upgrade the 3000, I would still be able to use it. Cheers for now Bob

Hi Bob, Have a good time! Orlando is probably the cheapest place in the country to rent cars (at least from what I'm told). If you are planning to visit Disney World, my mom works there, and I'd love to freak her out by someone popping in to tell her 'Hi', and memtion my name! anyway, perhaps we'd better move this into C-mail to avoid terminal topic drift :-} Rob Hays
