I have been running AMax IV with 3.1 on my A4000/40 since the beginning of
the year with no problems, except the inability to read 800K Mac floppies.
HD floppies are fine.

I have ordered a HD floppy as it appears the 3.1/AMax IV combination is
difficult to get working with a normal Amiga drive. It sounds by what you have
said that even if you own an HD floppy, life will still not be a bed of roses.
If I still have problems I will then call Readysoft and find out what is going
on. Whatever happens after I get this drive, I will let you know. It
certainly seems that a number of people have 3.1/ AMax IV running with no
problems. It might be that it is the HD floppy problem ( can't get System 7 on
my HD without it) or maybe I have particular hardware problem.
