>How does it look for the release dates of the A4000/060 and A3000/060 >accelerators? I have a A3000 and am VERY interested in getting a 060. >I already got the text file announcements, I am now just playing the >waiting game. So are we. CyberStorm 68060/50 available when Motorola gets around to releasing the chip, which they have variably stated will be in September or February. The board is now running as a prototype and does over 82 MIPs, 28MFLOPs and is 5-6 times faster than a stock 4000/040. MSRP is 1995.00, Street probably around 1795.00. If you are an owner of the Fastlane Z3 SCSI controller, call and there is a special price for you. A3000 version shall be out around 2 weeks after A4000 version is released. Stay tuned.

>And then for the 2000??? If I remember right, RCS is working on a A2000 version of the 060 or a 060 add-on for some 040 boards. Call them for more info. <<< Tony D. Tracer >>> (Any render time >0 needs acceleration.)

You are correct, in fact the 060 upgrade for the Fusion Forty board is shipping. You have to send you FF board to RCS and they will do the upgrade. About 1000.00. rich.

Not possible that RCS is upgrading to the 060, unless they get it before even Motorola. We have gotten release dates for the 060 from Motorola of either end of September or February. It's the waiting game, even though our CyberStorm 060/50 is screaming at over 82 MIPs and is already doing renders under Lightwave and Imagine.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I have been in direct contact with RCS, have the 166.00 dollar phone bill to prove it, and they are shipping. rich.

I have been in direct contact with Motorola and they are not shipping. IF RCS is shipping, it must be with beta versions of the 060, in which case, I wouldn't touch it. I would get out the grains of salt if I were you. Larry

When can A1200 users expecta Kick-A$$ accelerator board like that? (or, must we build our own? ) :^)

If so, I will probably just buy a Pentium. >The board is now running as a prototype and does over 82 MIPs,28MFLOPs >and is 5-6 times faster than a stock 4000/040. If you were `REAL NICE', you would let me beta-test the A3000 version for you. :^) <<< Tony D. Tracer >>> (Any render time >0 needs acceleration.)
