Fred:
I wish I could provide a "good home" to your setup, however I already have a
A2000HD with most of the software you have mentioned> I don't have an
accelerator, however. Would you be willing to sell it separately? I'm highly
interested in it. Thanks,
Duane.
I have an A2620 accelerator if you're interested.
Dale,
Please forgive me, but what are the specs on the 2620's? I've never really
looked at them, only the 3rd party boards. How much memory, what is the clock
speed, MMU/FPU on-board, etc. I'm not really interested in Unix (although I've
considered it if I can find an inexpensive way to connect to Kansas State's
network from home – long-distance bills would make it prohibitive), but I do
enjoy ray-tracing and use my computer for programming some rather
math-intensive engineering problems.
Also, does that board have a 68000 "fall-back" mode, and is the accelerator
memory available to the system when in that mode? Sorry for the questions, but
inquiring minds want to know…<g>.
Thanks,
Duane.
2620s have 020s, MMUs and FPUs. I think they clock at 25mhz. They have
up to 4mb RAM. You can boot in 68000 mode by holding down some
mousebutton while you boot (maybe only on power-up?). I think you loose
the RAM in that mode.
2620's run at 14 mhz, if memory serves.

I just checked the board. Unless they've overclocked the chips, your
memory serves. 🙂
Thanks much for the correction.
I love your settup. It looks like you were an avid Amiga user. I would happly
pay $650 for that wonderful package.
The desk and the software, however I won't need. This would allow you to make
a greater proffit elsewhere. If you like, give me a call at (208)388-0870 ask
for Bill. WSTime mornings are the best time to get ahold of me.
BTW I'll pay COD shipping and handling. Looking forward to hearing from you if
I don't get ahold of you first. Thanks.
