Gus, I need some help backing up .ani files to a Coloroda Jumbo 250. I was told by Pyros Corp. et al that you could help. I 've used the pardrv/p command before starting the backup with no success. The file size that I backup is always different than the file size on disk when I do a compare. I've spoken with Colorodo and DPS and can't seem to find a solution. I know other people are using the Jumbo and have posted a message to all. Just thought you might have a solution. Thanks Ed Banta

I have no idea what could be going on. I would think it's something going on with the software you use for the backup. Try copying the .ANI file to a local disk first and back up from there.

Gus, thanks for the quick reply. I've tried about everything I can including copying the files from the PAR drive to my local c: drive. Funny thing, all the files I copy have the same file length 65,627,192 which happens to be the length of one of the .ani files. I've used par to copy the files, Xtree and DOS. no success. Thanks anyway. Any future thoughts will be appreciated! Ed Banta

This is intriguing. What are the names of the files?

Ed: Hi there! Long time no talk! >> I was told by Pyros Corp. et al that you could help. Hmmm, must have been AMI, the people who purchased our sales division. (Is that the "et al"? <g>) None of us would have sent you to Gus! We know better! <bg> Did you try to copy the ANI files to a local disk or network drive before backing up? Greg Pyros
