IPAS is an acronym representing the model of 3ds' open architecture.
For additional details see pg 21-1 of the R3 Tutorials. Also, you can
download IPAS3.txt from the Software Dev Kit section of the lib.
These were Gary's lecture notes from his presentation at the Autodesk
University in 10/93.
IPAS routines are plug in modules that expand and enhance the
capabilities of 3D Studio. 3D Studio is an "open" program that allows
developers to add functionality to the program. Currently we have
over 125 developers creating "plug-ins" for 3D Studio.
