Dear 3DS special effects experts: How do you simulate Earth's atmosphere as seen from say 2000 miles in space. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Also how do you do the mighty sun as it glows in space?

Reza, Earthc.gif was uploaded by me and I am still working on it. If you need instruction as to how to use it, let me know and I'll send the info (VideoPost). For the Sun I would use Flare IPAS. Describe to me exactly where and how should the sun be and I will try to simulate it for you. You also posed the question of stars and gases some time ago and I also have uploaded some info regarding that. It is good to hear from you Reza. With regards, -Kouros M

Kouros, This is Mark not Reza, just to let you know. So you're the uploader of earthc.gif eh? I think it has a GREAT effect for the earth's atmosphere! I can't wait for the new one you're working on. Mark Yankee

>>This is Mark not Reza<< Yes Mark I'm sorry. I was just in a hury and wasn't thinking. In any case, in two days I'll upload 2EARTHS.ZIP It consists of 2 gif files (requested by Reza), Both have the clouds, one has sun, and somewhat a Moon (I didn't have a Moon bitmap). And the other, I tried to simulate Haze (Earth Atmosphere) again as he requested. I'm tying, and I like the challange. It's nice to have people like you spend the time and l@@k at stuff. let me what you think. Suggestions are appreciated. Kouros
