Howdy, I need some help with a question that I have. I use 3D studio to design lower 3rd name droppers to be Alpha Keyed on our matrox editing system which works well (cause it's all IBM) But my company is also buying an Avid Media composer 1000, which uses Mac PICT format graphics. Is there any conversion software avail. to convert a 32bit TGA to a 32bit PICT and keep the Alpha information intact so that the Avid can key it? -Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you can locate a Truevision NuVista+ owner, they have an Apple File Exchange script to convert both ways, between .TGA and PICT. The PICT is 32-bit, but I'm not certain the alpha is preserved. You can also download the latest NuVista+ drivers from the MULTIVEN forum, section 6.

The Image Alchemy manual says that it will convert to a 32 bit Mac PICT file. I haven't tried it, but everything else in IA works flawlessly.
