#ati driver lock-up

I'm a new member to compuserve so anyone who can help me if you get this
message I would greatly appreciate it. I'm currently running Autocad rel.
12.c.2 on a Gateway 2000 computer and am having problems with my ati video
drivers. I only have lock-up problems when I need to render a complicated 3d
drawing. When I use the "render" my drivers will freeze all of my keyboard and
I have to always "cold boot" to get my system functioning again. I've installed
the latest drivers and that didn't help. If anyone out there has a similar
problem…please let me know how you resolved this problem…..thanx

Perhaps someone in the AutoCAD forum can help you (GO ACAD). This forum
is for Autodesk's Multimedia products (3D Studio, Aniamtor Pro). Your problem
may well be traced to a display driver memory or configuration problem.

You may also want to check the ATI forum (GO ATITECH). I have the same
configuration as you do and have had numerous problems with ATI drivers. If
you would like to discuss it more, you can also E-mail me.

It's very nice to see people out there like the ones in these forums that are
willing to help out….I've never come across anything so wonderful as this
before the holidays.
