Well CEI had a press release last month stating they had reached an agreement
with AT to distribute Amiga's in N. & S. America.

That's been discussed here a lot. Since then, AT has denied the prices CEI set,
and Petro Tyschtschenko said at their press conference a couple of days ago
that they were still looking for a U.S. distributor/partner.
I guess we can never believe what CEI says until it's confirmed by other
sources!

Ray,

Yes they did, didn't they. Unfortunately they had not signed an agreement
at that time, and to the best of my information still haven't. Alex is getting
a really bad repuation, and obviously Escom/AT didn't appreciate his (Alex's)
pre-release press release with that high price quoted ($3500 for a basically
bare A4000T).
Personally I'd prefer Escom/AT have someone with some real business sense as
their NA/SA distributor, and it seems that Escom/AT agrees with me (and many
others).
