In the 3D Editor I can't change object color. The color selection box apperars all white. I looked in the 3DS.SET file and found nothing. Does anyone have any sugestions?

Rusty, Run the 3DS VIBCFG setup utility and select a video mode for your 3D Editor screen with more colors or a different resolution. You may have to play around with this to get an acceptable screen. Bob W.

Bob, Your suggestion was correct. My display driver was set to a 16 color, I changed it to 256. Now every thing works fine. Thanks for your quick reply. I should have done this earlier. I've been working with one color for the past six months since I upgraded to release 3. Thanks again!

Hi Rusty, << The color selection box apperars all white. I looked in the 3DS.SET file and found nothing. Does anyone have any sugestions? >> Do you possibly have your 3DS Editor color depth set to more than 256? You can verify this by "3ds vibcfg". jonas[adesk]

Jonas, I had the depth set to 16 color as opposed to 256. After changeing to 256 every thing works fine. Thanks for your responce. Rusty W.

Jonas, Does this mean that when I am in true-color mode ( >256 ) that I can't see the swatch change color? Here we go again, several of my favorite IPAS routines require true-color. -Lee
