I seem to have misplaced the manual for my NEC 3Xi CD-ROM. Does anyone know
what the jumpers on the back of the unit are? The first three are for the SCSI
address, but I'm not sure about the other three. I seem to remember one being
to activate the terminator, and another to switch back to SCSI-1 mode, but
can't figure which is which.
Thanks in Advance, Keith.
Keith,
Lucky you i have the same CDRom drive, and put my manual in a safe place…
The users manual say this: Jumper number 1 is on the LEFT side of the
block….. Jumpers are preset at factory with J1 & J5 enabled….
Jumpers 1,2,3 => SCSI ID Jumper 4 is used during manufacturing, and should not
be enabled. Jumper 5 is used to enable or diable termination, to disable the
termination, remove the jumper. Jumper 6 is used to select SCSI I or SCSI 2
functionality, default is SCSI 2 (jumper no set) to select SCSI 1 insert the
jumper .
Good luck,
