Hi all I've upgraded my machine to 2.1 with a 2.05 rom, but the software with my AA2088 Bridgeboard is stuck at the 1.2 level. Are there upgrades available somewhere either from C= or shareware? Bob Q.

Bob, Yes…there was a 2.1 upgrade for the BridgeBoard. My memory (it's been a while) was that dealer's were permitted to copy the upgrade software onto a user's original BB software disks (but not the MS-DOS…just the Commodore programs…both Amiga and MS-DOS side). If you can find a dealer…it would be worthwhile to see if this is true and get the upgrade. I have no idea if they'd have any new packages available. Don

Don & Bob, I got the Janus 2.1 upgrade by mail order, I think from Software Hut or DeVine (I don't remember which). Sorry, can't remember the price either but there was no stipulation about them needing my original disks etc. Steve Brightman Daring to be different – Amiga on the Internet – Lotus on the Interstate

Steve, right…if you pay for it…there's no question. But I believe dealer's were permitted to copy the new software onto the old software disks as part of a free upgrade. In other words, if you had the old software, you could get an upgrade for free if you could prove you had the old software (the disks). Otherwise, you had to pay for it. That's my memory…but I could easily be wrong…it could have been you had to pay for it no matter what. It's been a number of years since I've dealt with it. Don
