Amiga Music still Lives! Get a CD totaly composed by 1 man and his Amiga.

Is the $16.00 version with Requiem still available? That's the one I keep
hearing raves about! If so I'll get a check out to you this week.

Thanks for the interest the 'Holy Cow/Requiem' is one CD with 2 works on it.
Here is a breif description:
. The Holy Cow/Requiem is actually two works the Holy cow is a 12 work set of
vocals in many styles with the Title song "Holy Cow" being an intelligent
satire of Mao's Reign over China. Another favourite of mine is a pitiful song
about losing it all over whiskey, 'Please Think of Me'
.
The second set, 'Requiem' is a little harder to keyhole, it is in the
classical vein in the type of instrumentation, but outside it the way that it
uses harmony. Over all the Requiem leaves you thinking and examining.
The $16.00 deal was for Steve to include an earlier work titled 'Brothers of
Another Realm' anyway his CD could be gotten mail order from: .

Sorry for coming on too strong. I just want others to enjoy a good thing and it
excites me that one person and an Amiga can accomplish so much.

I don't want to burst your bubble BUT…I have both works and I find only about
50% of the works to be "valid', musically speaking. There are *no* liner
notes….how does one really know to what extent these songs have any
involvement with the Amiga? Were they sequenced on the Amiga? I find little
actual sound creation done by the Amiga…is it my ears?<g> Please tell me!
I would be happy to do a song by song critique. I have trouble 'knowing' where
musical satire begins and ends? Some of the instumental work is really
excellent….most of the vocals are mediocre at best!(sorry Steve)! Some of the
lyrics are sooo 'lame'! Am I missing something??

I would welcome a comment by Steve Kusaba. Steve is certainly a talented
person…especially as an instrumentalist and composer. I do feel that these
works would be much more solid if some of the material was excluded.
FWIW…I have been playing guitar since I was 14…been playing reeds since I
was 9…been becoming a keyboardist/synthesist for the last several years….I
am very liberal/eclectic in my musical tastes. Am getting old at 47!<g>

Alot of the sounds were created by digitizing to a disc and then manipulated
via a sunrize card. Some were sequenced Proteus tones and I beleive Steve also
has some Roland stuff.

Music is so subjective. Art itself attempts to convey a message from creator
to listener, veiwer, etc. and at times the message is lost on us as we attempt
to discern what was intended.

Alas this is true but due mostly to a lack of hardware, remember were talking
about a one man band here.

I feel that supporting art created by Amiga and Saying it was created solely
with Amiga, that I am giving others an example of just how powerful this
platform really is.

Where do we find new material? Rock is so predictable… Classical has been
completed. Someone somewhere has to take the chance of trying something new
and different and I beleive the Requiem does that, I appreciate tou being
brave enough to try it out, Thanks!
