>> The SXP's we have are 14 SXP's 1 AXP, and 4 IXP's << Damn! I didn't put two and two together. You _wrote_ the 4D SXP's!!! Great! Now I can talk to you about some of the things I've noticed. Way-kewl. They all say Sundog, Robert Nix on them. Are you his partner? >> Marbl_i.sxp, Agate_i.sxp, Granit_i.sxp <<< I like these the best. >> Earth is a SXP that creates a photo-realistic Earth like planet. << I just can't seem to get the proper control over the water/landmass settings. And the output doesn't look very antialiased to me unless it's far away. Got any examples? >> Amoeba_i.sxp << The color changes in this one are just too harsh most of the time. Is there a way to add noise, blend, turbulence or antialiasing choices to this one? >> Marble, Agate, and Granite SXP work well with each other as do all the other's. << What do you mean "work well with each other"? One suggestion: Could you add a small box next to the color choice buttons showing what the current colors are set to so that you can see 'em straight away? Right now you can't see all the colors at any one place. BTW: Did you know that the distribution disks from 4D have _none_ of the MLI's listed in the doc's on them? I've called tech support and left e-mail to Scott on his BBS (both he and I run PCGnet BBS systems) re. this and asked for the sample MLI's but so far I've gotten no replies. I'd be very greatfull if you could e-mail me a copy of them (or any other mli's you've come up w/ since then) via CIS. Are the 4D' version (bought them from Scott at SIGGRAPH) the newest versions? tia – ej

<<<What do you mean "work well with each other">>> As texture one and two so forth they blend with each other. <<< They all say Sundog, Robert Nix on them. Are you his partner>>> No longer partners. You need to get the updated unlocked versions from 4D Vision. <<<BTW: Did you know that the distribution disks from 4D have _none_ of the MLI's listed in the doc's on them? The matlibs will work out fine with the unlocked versions. I'm also about to up load the fixed *.mli files next week. Thanks for the response I hope I answered your questions. Get the new version unlocked and let me know if the problems keep happening. Mike

>> As texture one and two so forth they blend with each other. << That's kinda what I thought. >> No longer partners. You need to get the updated unlocked versions from 4D Vision. << I just got the disks from them 2 weeks ago and, when called, they said that they were the newest! I even questioned them about the "sun dog" stuff. They said not to worry. [Scott are you listening? I've cc'ed you so you better be! <g>] BTW: My versions are unlocked but w/o MLI's and say "sun dog". I assume that they are functionally the same? >> I'm also about to up load the fixed *.mli files next week. << Most excellent. Looking forward to it. – ej

I also wanted to say they will still live on in 3D MAX. Mike
