I need a utility that allows draping a 2D mesh (outline of stripes on a roadway) onto a 3D mesh (the 3D roadway). Schrieber advertised such an IPAS but has discontinued it. Any suggestions would be appreciated! -Cal Haines

Why not create the roadway with lofted mapping coordinates and then use a material to stripe the road?

My last attempt was circa R2, the "stripe" material did not react well when viewed from a grazing angle, i.e. driver's eye level. The stripes would vanish abruptly at a relatively short distance. Using a mesh stripe causes the stripes to vanish in the distance in a natural way. -Cal Haines

We use road models several thousand feet long and the mapping doesn't seem work that well. -Cal Haines
