#Win 95 Question

There are a lot of problems with the current system. I'm waiting for the new
interface not a paste on and plug and play support.<
If you want hype you got it Windows 95. When using NT if your hardware isn't on
the compatibility list you may have problems. As older machines are replaced it
won't be much of a problem.
Windows 95 has many more problems than NT. They will both get better with time.
Wait till you use W95 multitasking (yea right) before you trash NT. I have both
W95 and NT installed on my machine, and W95 never gets used.
By the time the full W95 interface shows up on NT, later this year, there will
be plenty of applications to take advantage of it. Win95 has the interface now,
but there are very few (1 or 2) applications that use it.
I'm was using Win95 and NT on the same system. I just removed NT. Win95 runs
everything I have and I don't have to reboot to run 3ds. The debate is over
though. I give up. I think I just have different hardware than everyone else
on this forum, and I'm not willing to give up the investment. Happy animating.

I've been following this thread and another and watching you debate the merits
of Win 95. As someone interested in getting into 3D animation, and believing 3D
Studio to be the best, I'm on the verge of buying 3DS R2 and have a simple
question for you and your worthy opponents:
Does R2 run in Win '95's DOS box? What about R3 & R4?
Thanks for your input.

I know that release 3 and 4 run under win95 but full screen. It still allows
you to switch between 3ds and your windows applications. As is, no release
will run under NT, but I've that there was some kind of work around. I don't
know what it though.

Sounds very promising. How much RAM will it take to get started with 3DS? Is 16
MB enough or will I have to dig much deeper?
