Does 3DS 4.0 runs on Win 95? Is there any known problems with Win 95 & 3DS? Tsuri Shemer Cinnamon Multimedia Systems Israel

Tsuri – If you are using WINCIM, click on messages, then on Set Date and set the date back about three weeks. This will let you see all the older messages on the forum. Download the topics in the 3D Studio section that are headed with 3DS and WIN95. There are a lot of them and some good info in there. Someone might answer your question again but reading those files will give you data. Anne

Instead of having people cover ground over and over again, is it possible to have proven solutions to technical problems posted in a TechNotes library entry. Seems that would go a long way to reduce channel traffic. BP

Bruce, All the technotes and white papers that Autodesk Product Support has produced are available for download in section 19 – PS Technical Papers. If you are asking specifically for a paper on WIN 95, Autodesk has not produced such a paper. While there have been many reports from end users that they have been able to successfully get 3D Studio to run in a DOS window under WIN 95, end users who wish to attempt this must rely on the advice and assistance of their peers, as Autodesk Product Support has not tested and does not support 3DS under the WIN 95 platform. Several users have posted their experiences in the forum librarys. Search on the keyword WIN95 or 95 to find these posts. -Brian

Hi! 3DS is running well under WIN95 in a DOS-Window, but!!!! To not use the task-manager, otherwise 3DS might crash! Best Dieter
