#YUV File format
4 messages in this thread
Hello,
I am working with a client who would like to output my animations via an Abekas
DDR which reads the YUV format. Is there a program that will either batch
convert sequential tgas to YUV or allow 3ds to write YUV format when it
renders? Incidentally this client is also very interested in recieving these
files through his ftp site on the internet so a convenient way to package them
for such a transfer might also be suggested. He has a way to convert targas to
yuv on his network, but tgas are so large that sending a quantity of them seems
to be burdensome. Any suggestions or thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Yes, there is, YUV_I.BXP, and not only does it allow 3DS to write YUV files, it
was written so that 3DS can also read the YUVs, also! Great when using files
off the Abekas as texture maps or backgrounds. Works with Abekas, Accom, and
probably all other high-end DDRs. List price on the program is $150.

Greg,
Thanks for the prompt reply. I knew I'd heard about such a thing here on the
forum. Does Pyros Pictures et al market the YUV_I.bxp? If not, who does and
how do I order/ where can I down load it?
Thanks
