I had an interesting conversation with one of the fellows over at Digimation. It seems the 'Sticky mapping' will NOT be included in this first release as previously eluded too. Was this common knowledge ? I could have sworn that it was mentioned as one of the strengths of the product. I could be wrong….. Brendan G.

Hi, Brendan! You may want to read Message #187389 and, perhaps, whole thread on Metaballs. Just 3 days ago there was posted the following message: >>Organix has: envelopes to control face count over time. >> allows user to define colors which represent fusion values. >> works with "refraction mapping" IPAS. >> WILL SOON include "sticky mapping" making it the only routine to hold >> texture mapping in place while metablobs move and deform. And just 3 weeks ago I was making technology Preview on Siggraph'95. My point is: it is no wonder, that Sticky mapping is not yet fully integrated into OrganiX as of today. And I am sorry if you've got wrong impression. On the other hand Sticky Mapping is going to be THE fastest new technology, which will make its way from discovery to real product. Right now it is going through its Beta 0.9 process, add to this some time to finalize everything and to write some docs and to make MeshPaint compatible with it. Still even with these inevitable delays it is coming pretty soon: I wiil post you personal message (if you want to) when first demos will be uploaded to CServe. Regards, Alex, Video International

Alex, <<My point is: it is no wonder, that Sticky mapping is not yet fully integrated into OrganiX as of today. >> Ok….. So that means it won't? be included in Organix as eluded too ? Well at least what it does, it does very well. Looking forward to getting 'Sticky' Brendan G.

Hi, Brendan! >>Ok….. So that means it won't? be included in Organix as eluded too ? It means, it is not decided yet what version of OrganiX it will be included in: If we will be able to make Sticky compatible with Mesh Paint fast enough, be ready for something like OrganiX Pro, if not it could be just an upgrade. (if Stickies will be not as great as we conceived them, then be ready for simple update of current version, but they are GREAT, believe me!). Just wait for first demos to surface. Be prepared, Alex, Video international
